Burford Priory is a 16th Century Grade I Listed Gentleman’s Mansion House, incorporating remnants of a 13th Century Augustinian Hospital. Remodelled in 17th Century and greatly reduced in size in early 19th Century. The garden, set around the mansion, is a mix of historic restoration and fresh ideas. Areas of wildflowers and fruit trees, lawns, sculptures and cultivated areas with flower beds and greenhouses. Its emphasis is a private family garden. The head gardener will lead a tour round the garden.
